Dazzling Flowers Tutorial
Everywhere I look I am finding beautifully glittered flowers. Since I have plenty of flowers in my supply along with a generous supply of P K Glitz glitter, I wanted to see if I could come up with something equally dazzling as what I have seen in the store. With the addition of Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, E P Max, and a few other supplies, I came up with a flower that is going to look amazing beautiful on my projects!
Here is how I made them:
I used my Dazzling Flowers on these little tin that I got in the Dollar Spot at Target. I adhered some pretty patterned paper to the tins using Sticky Tape then I ran a strip of 3/8 inch sticky tape along the top edge and added a coordinating glitter along with using the Quickie Glue pen and glitter to add some sparkle to the patterned paper. I also use Sticky Tape to adhere the flower bow onto the tin. Sticky Tape is pretty versatile stuff!

Spring Flowers
I have been busy in my studio creating some things that make me happy! With the unusually long gloomy winter, I am more than ready for spring, how about you? I recently purchased these lovely Prima flowers but I needed to jazz them up a bit and what better way to do that, than with P K Glitz products!
I used WonderFilm, P K Glitz Glitter Glitz, Ritzy Ditzy Glitz, and P K Glitz E P Max to jazz them up. Wanna know how I made them? Check back on Thursday for a video tutorial!

Kaleidoscopes and a Spring Design Team
Even if you are not very digitally savvy, Poppy Hill Designs has some really fun Kaleidoscope Making software that can add a whole new dimension to your paper crafting. It is super easy to use and the Wendy (owner) has some great video tutorials on her site!
This is a completely digital layout and I was able to use digital papers and elements with the Kaleidoscope software to create the large flower next to my photos. Would you believe that the light colored center of the flower was actually a rose embellishment before I Kaleidoscoped it?
Supplies:
Kaleidoscope Making software (Poppy Hill Designs)
Digital Papers and Embellishments (Cherpea Designs @ www.twolittlepixels.com)
Check out Poppy Hill Designs - they are a Preferred Partner with P K Glitz!
If you are one of the ones who has anxiously been waiting to see the results of the new P K Glitz Design Team, well, the wait is over. You can see them new team on the blog. I was so very thankful that I was not the one making the decisions because to be honest, I probably still wouldn't have it done. I think Janelle did a fine job of picking our spring team and I know she will be considering others for future "guest" spots! :)

Record Snowfall Hits North Texas!
I can no longer complain about not having pictures of snow to scrapbook! Between yesterday (2/11/10) and this morning north Texas has broken snowfall records!
The Dallas Morning News reported this morning:

I guess I should go play in the snow - NOT!! LOL I think I will just enjoy it from inside ;)
Stay warm everyone - spring is just around the corner!!!
The Dallas Morning News reported this morning:
The 11.2 inches of snow that had fallen by midnight Thursday at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport topped the previous record for snowfall in one day of 7.8 inches recorded in 1917 and 1964.That is a lot of snow for us around here! Of course my camera is still in the shop so I am learning a lot about my new video/point and shoot camera today as I try to get some good photos of this rare snowfall.
The 12.4 inches that had fallen by 4 a.m. Friday also broke the 24-hour record of 12.1 inches Jan. 15 and Jan. 16, 1964.
Thursday’s snow also catapulted seasonal accumulation to 15.7 inches, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

And now for the snow storm. Texas is getting their share in the snow that has been falling across the country. The snow started falling around 7:30 a.m. this morning and is not expected to stop until we get 4 - 8 inches! Now that is a lot for this Texas gal! Actually any amount of snow is a lot for this gal, but that is another story.
Anyway - here is a video that I took this morning and just in case you are wondering - it is still snowing....

Digital and Glitz
Here are some projects that I have been working on. This first one was just for fun and I really like how it came out. I covered an acrylic shape with WonderFilm then used the Lace Technique to create the pattern on the shape. I also like how you can vaguely see through it. I also added Crystal Glitter Glitz to the flowers and Wine Glitter Glitz on the Butterfly.
This one is just in time for Valentine's Day. I used the Stencil Technique on this card.
And then I tried a little digi scrapping challenge over at Scrapperie. I really like how this page came out.
Supplies:
Template by Studio Crystal - Crystal Livesay
cherpeadesigns - create kit @ twolittlepixels
jopkedesigns - gwenifer kit @ twolittlepixels
That is just a little of what I have been up to. I hope you have found some inspiration. Don't forget about the Beat the Blues crop at Dixie Pieces that is going on right now. Just click on the button in the upper left hand column and it will take you directly to the crop!
